Our Most Popular Course

Speak & Shine

We've heard heartwarming stories from parents about their children speaking confidently without hesitation or fear. Teachers have shared inspiring tales of self-conscious students blossoming into fabulous speakers.

This meticulously planned course is designed for students aged 9-13 who often miss out on opportunities in school due to poor communication skills. Despite having excellent academic records, these students crave the spotlight and risk developing a fear of public speaking.

We work with these children, showing them how fun and exciting the journey can be, empowering them to 'find their voice.'

Below is an overview of each module:

Debate - Think. Speak. Listen.

Nobody is born debater; it is a learned skill.

It does not matter if you are debating from a podium or you are trying to establish your stand in a gathering of cousins and friends, your argumentative skills as a debater will help you.

Most people feel that since they are not born debaters, there is no way in which they can become good debaters. However, that is far from being true.

Debating is a skill that can be easily acquired with a little bit of effort and practice.

The children will learn:

  • Critical thinking, reasoning and the art of negotiation
  • Oral presentation
  • Group/panel discussion
  • A persuasive way of speaking

This course is suitable for your child to understand the structure and types of debate, create debate speech, counter-argue by logical thinking and reasoning and finally research accurate facts to support the idea.

The debate course enhanced Hazel’s public speaking skills as she became comfortable giving her opinion and being more spontaneous. Thanks to the excellent teaching methods!

Elocution - The Stage Is Yours!

Does speaking in public fill your child with fear and anxiety?

The bad news is- Glossophobia, or a fear of public speaking, is a very common phobia and one that is believed to affect up to 75% of the population.

But the good news is, that it can be overcome with intervention at the right time.

The children will learn:

  • Body language
  • Eye contact
  • Facial expressions
  • Vocal variety
  • Tone and pitch
  • Hand gestures
  • Posture
  • Movement

We use poetry as a form of literature to enhance our speaking skills through recitation and repetition. It not only enables your child to speak with confidence but also allows them to speak engagingly.

I am amazed to see how Tanisha and Tanaya use their vocabulary words now! They were taught the difficult concept of using body language in a speech in such a simple way. Their academic performance also improved over some time.

Speech & Drama - Lights, Camera, Act!

“What you say is important; how you say it makes the difference.”

----Helen O’Grady

Children love the idea of speaking without fear if it is blended with exciting strategies of mime or role-plays. SpeechAct includes a thorough understanding of crafting effective speeches and also performing monologues, one-act plays etc in the most encouraging and likeable environment.

The children will learn:

  • Speaking impromptu
  • Evaluating speakers
  • Performing a monologue / one-act play
  • Mime

Teachers use improv in class to begin their lessons in a fun, energetic way which sets the tone for the class. The child who is generally fluent but fails to impress the audience due to a lack of understanding of speech structure, vocabulary, tone etc. can highly benefit from this course.

With the guidance of the experienced instructor, Shreyas is no longer a shy child. He learnt how to speak impromptu and now teaches me and all his friends as well.
